I'm Allan, a retired Manager with professional certifications from CMI and ILM and a TEFL qualification. I bring over 16 years of online teaching experience, including 10 successful years on Italki, where I've delivered nearly 15,000 lessons. I specialise in business English, grammar, conversation practice, and exam preparation for TOEFL, IELTS, FCE, CAE, CPE, KET, PET, TRINITY and EIKEN. I'm passionate about helping my students achieve their goals, whether excelling in exams, studying abroad, or preparing for an exciting new chapter in a different country. Outside of teaching, I'm an accomplished endurance athlete, completing over 100 marathons.

I did a trial lesson of 30 minutes with Allan last week. I want to get ready for the Cambridge CAE exam. He was really helpful. I think that he can help me a lot to get my goal. Today I have had my first "one hour class" with him. He is a great professional. I learn a lot with him. He focuses on my goals and on my weaknesses. I have been very lucky to find him. It is not just about what I learn during the class, but also about his help during the rest of the time. I am sure with hard work and with his great help, I will pass the exam. The best teacher I could have ever found!!!!!

Allan is an excellent teacher. He points out my mistakes and reminds me to correct them. At the same time, he is very patient. Taking classes with him is like having a conversation with a friend, which makes me very confident.
