Hi! I’m Yohana (or Yo)—an Indonesian language enthusiast who turned self-taught English fluency into a passion for teaching. Growing up without an English-speaking background, I mastered the art of learning languages through people—so whether you’re starting Indonesian or polishing casual English, I’ll make it feel like chatting with a friend. When I’m not teaching, I’m writing songs, strumming my guitar, or sharing stories online—proof that language is best learned when it’s alive. Let’s turn your goals into conversations!教学经验
Growing up in a non-English-speaking family, I had no prior experience living in an English-speaking environment. So, it may come as a surprise that I am fluent in English. Over time, I have discovered effective and enjoyable methods that helped me learn a completely different language from my mother tongue. I believe that the key to learning a new language is to start with the student's interests. Learning a language is mainly about communicating naturally. Therefore, my lessons focus on conversation, catering to both complete beginners and students with a fair or good command of English / Indonesian. However, I am also open to your requests.
Below are my class rules:
1. Please arrive on time for your class.
2. Once the class is finished, please confirm its completion.
3. If you need to reschedule, please inform me at least 3 hours before the class starts.

Yohanna is one of the best teachers I’ve ever had the pleasure of learning from. She is truly world class. I wish more teachers would teach as well as she does and I know that she truly loves what she does because she is so good at it.
I was excited to learn before taking her class but after seeing how much progress I have made after only 2 lessons I am now even more confident and excited about learning.
