I'm Sandra and I'm from NC in the USA. However I have spent the past 10 years living abroad both in Colombia & Spain. In my free time, I love to read or watch TV/movies. I enjoy meeting people from different cultures and learning about different places, so travel is another of my favorite things to do and talk about.

En mi tiempo libre, me encanta leer o ver televisión y películas. I've been teaching most of my life, starting with tutoring Spanish students in university. After graduation, I taught English as a volunteer in NC and Colombia. In Spain, I was a teacher assistant for Primary and Secondary and tutored privately. I’ve pursued training, earned a Master's, and am certified by Cambridge.

I tailor lessons to each student, following Universal Design for Learning. Private tutoring allows me to meet their unique needs. I try to integrate all skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking) through interaction. When suitable, I use the Flipped Methodology, assigning tasks before class to allow discussion and review during our sessions.
Adapto mis clases a cada alumno según el Diseño Universal para el Aprendizaje. La clase privada me permite atender sus necesidades individuales. Me centro en todas las habilidades (lectura, escritura, escucha y habla) de forma interactiva. My son took several lessons with Sandra over the past month to prepare for his B2 Certificate exam, and I couldn’t be happier with the results.
He already had a solid foundation, but Sandra’s guidance and well-chosen exercises helped him focus and build real confidence. Thanks to her support, he went to the exam feeling well-prepared and ready to do his best. I truly appreciate her professionalism and the positive impact she’s had on his progress. Je suis depuis plus d'un mois le cours avec Sandra et je peux attester que mon niveau s'est nettement améliorer à l'orale. Elle utilise une bonne méthode et a des outils nécessaires pour aider dans tous les plans, aussi bien sur la lecture, la grammaire, le vocabulaire que sur l'expression orale.
