Heya! My name's Cliff and I'm originally from Atlanta, Georgia (U.S.).
In 2009 I moved to Almería, Spain to bring about some change in my life and I've happily lived here ever since then.
When I'm not working I spend time with my 2-year old daughter, go rock climbing, play in a few bands and do my best to keep fit through functional training and exercise!
**Regarding my availability: Currently italki does not seem to offer calendar synchronization which doesn't allow me to properly show my availability on italki, however, I offer lessons from 8am to 6pm Madrid (CET, UTC+1). I started off as a language assistant in high schools in Almería where I learned different techniques about how to communicate with all kinds of folks learning English. Over the past 15 years I have had the pleasure of gaining experience at academies all over Almería as well as the Centro de Lenguas at the University of Almería.我提供的课程和我的教学风格
Overall my focus in teaching has been toward test preparation for Cambridge Exams (A2-C2), British Council Aptis, EOI (España), TOEFL, IELTS, SLP and many other exams students need to take. I also worked as an oral examiner for 6 years.
Beyond test preparation I am fond of conversation classes. I love hearing about my student's lives and helping them to improve their communication through topic based conversation. I'm an avid listener of the radio and podcasts and I find it important to stay up-to-date with the news and current events in the US, Europe and all over the world.
Moreover, I also work as an unofficial interpreter for British expats living in Spain.我的教学资料

Remote English TutorOnline English lessons focused on improving conversational skills in English whether it be related to the workplace, business or simply communicating more effectively in any situation. Test prep covering Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking is offered as well.
2017 - 2018
Onboarding SpecialistMy duties included assisting in customer support, teaching business English to employees at the company and I was responsible for remotely training new clients on how to use the software that was sold.

Speaking ExaminerI cannot disclose the name of the specific institution I worked for but will happily do so upon request. I examined from A2-C1.
2011 - 2016
English TeacherMy lessons mainly focused on Cambridge Exam preparation from B1 to C1. We covered all parts of the exam including reading, writing, speaking and listening. The lessons were dynamic and included group and pair speaking work as well as learning different techniques to do the exams more efficiently.
2009 - 2011
Language and Cultural AssistantI worked at 2 different high schools where I helped with the preparation of the bilingual program that was implemented in Spain in 2010. My first year involved helping teachers improve their pronunciation, vocabulary, idioms etc. so they could teach their courses in English.
