Akiyo sensei is extremely patient and encouraging. I had zero experience in Japanese and I feel confident and encouraged when I take lessons with her. We follow a text book called genki and I think the lessons are organized. I think I’m making slow but steady progress. We have had 5 lessons already and I am looking forward to many more :)

Thank you so much for the trial lesson. From first minutes of the lesson I could feel that I am heard and understood well. Akiyo san is a very bright teacher with vast experience in different fields, so she can correct my Japanese, and also help learning about Japanese work culture!

We’ve been reviewing the course material together to try and get the information solidly in my head. Akiyo 先生 continues to be patient in the small mistakes and very active in correcting them so they don’t become bad habits.

Akiyo-先生 is a wonderful instructor of 日本語! She encourages her students when they learn proper grammar and vocabulary, and she is very quick to correct you when you make even a slight mistake. My 日本語 has improved with every lesson so far, and I will continue to book appointments with Akiyo-先生.

Akiyo-san is the best Japanese teacher I’ve ever had, and perhaps also the best teacher I’ve ever had. She is extremely patient and encouraging and always helps me construct sentences in natural and understandable ways. She has sparked me to be more interested in the Japanese language and culture, and I am so grateful for it!

Another great lesson. Sometimes I may show up under-prepared for a lesson, but Akiyo-Sensei always takes it in stride and provides a lesson suited for you.
