I largely believe in conversational learning as it humanizes the learning process. It is easier to learn in environments where one feels comfortable. This equally enhances memory and understanding of the concepts. I tend to give topics for the student to research on before class, just to make the class a little more interactive. I do let the student suggest topics too.
