Hi! My name is Ann. My native language is Russian, but I've been living in Prague for 7 years. I know 3 languages, so I know that sometimes it can be difficult, so I am here to help you! :) In our lessons we will talk a lot, as I think that conversation is one of the important parts of studying languages: Russian as well as Czech. I promise that our lessons will be fun:) Ahoj! Jsem Aňa. Jsem z Ruska ale momentálně bydlím v Česku už 7 let. Naučila jsem se český jazyk za 9 měsíců a proto vím jak se učit cizí jazyky rychle a efektivně. Studuju medicínu a učit jazyky je můj koníček. Pomůžu nejen s češtinou ale i s ruštinou:)))) Slibuju, že naše hodiny budou nejen přínosné ale i zajímavé.

My approach depends on your goals and motivation to learn a language. If you want to visit the Czech Republic/Russia and you need Czech/Russian just to be able to communicate, so let's work on your communication skills! But if you want to study here, we will need to approach learning the language from all angles, we will not only work on your listening and speaking skills, but also on grammar and reading more challenging texts that will help you to shine on your exams!

This was a really good lesson for me. I think Anna has a great understanding on the learner's perspective. Even though I am a beginner, she kept the lesson in Czech as much as possible and taught some very practical phrases that I can use easily. Other (native) Czech teachers I had tried were too focused on explaining the grammar or pronunciation in English in a very teacher-centered way, but Anna focused the lesson on the student and maximized my chances to speak. I plan to continue.

Anna has a pleasant and convivial manner. She is also a sensitive, patient and empathetic listener. Recommended if you are an intermediate learner seeking to improve your conversational skills.
