Junko

Great lesson with Junko! We started with small talk about where we went and what the weather is like. We talked about family and how things change when you're a teenager. After that, we worked on the remaining exercises from lesson 8 in the textbook. Sometimes I get a little stuck on reading, but Junko is always patient and encouraging!

Great lesson with Junko! We had a fun small talk about school festival, Halloween and card games. The small talk is a good way to try to speak Japanese and to learn new vocabulary. After that, we worked on more exercises from chapter 8 in the textbook and learned grammar points about "before" and "after". Junko always gives good feedback and keeps things positive!

Great lesson with Junko! In our free talk, we discussed school festivals in Japan, haunted houses and Disney World. We continued learning chapter 8 in the textbook, and did some "fill-in-the-blank" listening exercises. Junko explained the difference between 見る and 観る (both are pronounced みる) . We finished by learning two new grammar points. It was another fun lesson with Junko!

Great lesson with Junko! We started with small talk about the weather, about Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. After that, we continued working on exercises from chapter 8. We did listening, shadowing, fill in the blank and role play. I was a little slow reading katakana, so I think that is something I will practice. Anyway, it was fun to talk about holidays and Junko is positive and encouraging as usual!

Great lesson with Junko! We started with free talk and we talked about some differences between Japan and the US, and about bears in nature. After that, we continued learning in the textbook about "verb + 行きませんか" grammar. We also did a listening exercise, then a shadowing exercise and another listening exercise. My listening skill is improving between the free talk and the exercises. Junko is always supportive and patient, which makes her class enjoyable!

Great lesson with Junko! We started with small talk, and talked about the weather and about tv dinners. After that, we started a new chapter in the textbook. We did listening exercises and Junko had me type the "fill in the blank" in Japanese. It was good to listen to the same dialog several times while paying attention to different things. Junko also explained when I didn't quite understand the meaning. It was really fun!
