I’m honestly so happy I continued taking lessons with Araceli. She has been a wonderful conversation partner who takes a genuine interest in my life, remembers details from previous conversations, and asks thoughtful follow-up questions. As I’ve become more comfortable expressing myself in everyday situations, she has helped me move beyond basic conversation and practice more difficult topics, especially hypothetical situations. She also pushes me to explain ideas that I might have simplified in the past. I used to feel drained before Spanish lessons because making mistakes was frustrating after investing so much time in the language. Araceli has created such a safe and encouraging environment that I now find myself taking more risks and pushing harder to express what I really want to say. I always look forward to our conversations and continue to feel more confident after every lesson.

Araceli has been an amazing teacher since our first lesson. She’s incredibly friendly and makes conversation feel natural, which makes speaking Spanish much less intimidating. Even when I struggle to explain something, she understands what I’m trying to say and helps me express it more naturally. I originally asked her to teach me about Peruvian culture, vocabulary, holidays, and everyday life, but I enjoyed learning with her so much that I continued Spanish lessons as well. She does a great job tailoring lessons to my goals and balancing conversation with corrections. One correction that really stood out was explaining that actualmente means “currently,” not “actually,” something no previous teacher had pointed out. I always look forward to our lessons, and I highly recommend Araceli to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, patient, and engaging Spanish teacher.

I like to leave Araceli a new review every five classes or so because there is always something new to say about the way she teaches. In our recent lessons, she has continued helping me correct my use of prepositions, but she also noticed something I had never realized myself: I was largely avoiding the past perfect tense, such as “había salido.” I had never noticed that this tense was missing from my Spanish until she pointed it out and helped me start using it more naturally. We have also continued working on hypothetical situations, an area where I want to become much more comfortable and automatic. Araceli is very good at identifying the gaps in my Spanish that I do not notice myself and then adapting our lessons around them. I continue to really enjoy our classes and appreciate how thoughtful and attentive she is as a teacher.

Araceli is an incredible conversation partner and tutor. She is so easy to talk to. I never get nervous with her, which is something I have had trouble with with other tutors. She corrects you when there is opportunities while keeping the flow of the conversation going. Sometimes I forget I am in a Spanish class and I think I am taking to an old friend. She's great. Very warm and kind person. I highly recommend her!
