한국어와 영어를 15년 넘게 가르쳐 왔어요.
서울대학교 한국어 교원 양성과정을 수료했고, 한국어 교원 자격증도 가지고 있습니다.
대학교에서 오랫동안 영어를 가르쳤고, 지금도 수업을 하며 늘 배우고 있어요.
저는 ‘함께 배워나가는’ 선생님이고 싶어요.
학생 한 사람 한 사람의 속도와 스타일을 존중하며 수업을 준비합니다.
I’ve been teaching Korean and English for over 15 years.
I completed the Korean Language Teacher Training Program at Seoul National University and hold a Korean language teaching certificate.
I also taught English at a university in Korea for many years, and I continue to grow as both a teacher and a learner.

We’ll practice speaking naturally using stories,

I teach mainly in Korean, but I’m happy to explain things in English, too.

I've taken classes with Sehee for over a year now, and I couldn't recommend her more. Sehee is charismatic and engaging, so we never run out of things to talk about. Her biggest strength is how well she can explain new words, grammar points and nuanced differences on the spot. I also appreciate how flexible she is with her lessons; I go through periods where I'm highly motivated and want highly structured lessons with homework, and I also go through periods where I merely want to have casual lessons to maintain my current level. As a somewhat high-level Korean learner, I greatly appreciate that she conducts the lesson entirely in Korean and never switches to English. (That being said, I know she speaks English well and is more than able to mix in English to adapt to each student's level.) If you want a flexible and knowledgable Korean teacher, you should definitely give a lesson with Sehee a try!

I really like my teacher. She is super nice, and whenever I have questions, she is always there to answer them. I love the topics we learn in class. I’m still not great at everything, but out of all the teachers I’ve had, she has been one of the most patient with me.

세희선생님 provides structure so that you have a path to follow, and offers a lot of patience and space for you take time to speak and think about what you want to say. I had a good first lesson and I'm excited to book more. Thank you! :)

I've been taking lessons with 새희샘 for a month now and I couldn't be happier with them. 새희샘 is an understanding and patient teacher, and I have so much fun during our class and leave learning so many new things from vocabulary, grammar, and facts about Korea and the language. I also appreciate the audios she records for us to practice listening.
I felt I wasn't making progress in my speaking and listening, but after a couple of lessons with 새희샘 I feel more confident to speak, and I can't wait to make more progress!
