I am a Japanese teacher with 20 years of experience.
I run a private tutoring school where I teach many students one by one.
I have worked with children who have overseas backgrounds, helping them learn Japanese in a way that fits their needs.
I also have experience teaching children with learning difficulties, and I am comfortable supporting their learning.
My lessons are easy to understand and fun, because I believe enjoying learning is very important.
I try my best to help every student improve their Japanese skills step by step.
Whether you are a beginner or want to study more deeply, I can help you.

JLPT Preparation - Vocational school and junior college - 2021I have 4 years of experience teaching JLPT preparation at a vocational school and junior college.
In my lessons, I help students not only prepare to pass the JLPT but also develop skills to speak confidently with Japanese people and read kanji when traveling in Japan.
My approach includes practical exercises that focus on both exam strategies and real-life communication.

Mayumi is really a good teacher. She is so patient and helpful. My daughter has just come to Japan and couldn't say a word. She is helping her with daily words and useful expressions in school. She even bought the textbook to support her. She is well prepared for every class. We are so thankful for her.

My mommy and I really enjoy this teacher! She's patient and beyond sweet! I love taking her classes and she makes sure that I pronounce what I'm learning correctly. My mom and I love that she reviews over what I have learned and still teaches new material after we do our review. So all of the material that she teaches me sticks. I review and practice the material that she provides me throughout the week as well before my next class. She is a wonderful teacher and she's a native to Japan!
