Hi! I'm Yuko.
I've been an italki tutor since Summer 2025 and have worked as a Japanese web editor/writer for 10+ years🇯🇵✨
I studied in California (the US) for 4 years when I was a student🇺🇸👩🎓
I majored in liberal arts and ethnomusicology, learning about the link between language, culture and music📚🎵
I love traveling and enjoy meeting people worldwide🌎
I've visited Vietnam, China, the UK, Switzerland, France and more for work and vacation🇻🇳🇨🇳🇬🇧🇨🇭🇫🇷
I'm also learning Spanish as a third language🇪🇸
My hobbies are playing the piano and cooking🎹🥘
I'm a mom of two boys (ages 12 and 7)👬

Very warm and welcoming teacher. Very patient as well, even in trial lesson. I learned a lot in just one lesson. She encourages me to speak in Japanese and also explain the things that I don't understand. We went a bit overtime but she just let me continue, which was very nice of her. I would definitely recommend her.
