Hello! I'm Julieta, a passionate Spanish teacher from Colombia. Originally from Medellín, but now living in Bogotá, I love exploring my country’s breathtaking natural beauty and sharing these unique experiences with my students.
When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me staying active, spending time with my family and my dog, or in the kitchen, experimenting with new recipes and cooking delicious dishes from around the world.
I studied Linguistics at the National University of Colombia, and I’m passionate about learning new languages and discovering different cultures through the magic of language. Let’s explore the world of Spanish together!教学经验
As a teacher, I’m known for my flexibility and my ability to adapt to the individual pace and needs of each student. Whether your focus is on improving conversation skills, reviewing grammar, or diving into a specific book, I tailor each lesson to what you want to achieve.
I also believe that understanding a language goes hand in hand with understanding its culture, so I always include insights into Hispanic culture in my classes. In my lessons, I start with a quick review of the most important vocabulary before diving into practice. I believe it’s essential to mix theory with real-life situations so that you can see how everything connects and applies in the real world. I also make sure to use topics and examples that match your interests, whether it’s sports, movies, food, or business.
I’m very patient and adapt to each person’s pace, so there’s no need to feel pressured or nervous. Remember, mistakes are just stepping stones to reaching your goals! Julieta Garzon is a great teacher and provides a relaxed atmosphere to maximize learning. I take the relaxed conversation class, and I have found that it has really improved my conversational skills a lot. Grammatical errors and new vocabulary are corrected during conversion in a very patient way so that the conversation is not interrupted. She always has a theme to talk about, which really keeps the conversation interesting. The hour goes by very quickly!

Julieta is such a fantastic instructor. She has been able to quickly assess what is my current Spanish level, and help me start to work on high yield aspects which I struggle with. She uses different resources to help keep the class engaging, and remembers the lesson plan from session to session to make sure there is continual growth. I highly recommend Julieta.
