I teach Japanese in Tokyo, from complete beginners to upper-intermediate learners, mainly business professionals 👩‍🏫 Even if you cannot read hiragana or katakana yet, you can start learning with confidence. ⸻ My lessons focus on developing real communication skills, not memorization. I help you understand how Japanese is actually used in real situations so you can naturally use it in conversation. You will move from knowing Japanese to actually using it in real communication. ⸻ 🌱 Beginner lessons (N5–foundation): * Hiragana & Katakana * Basic grammar and conversation practice * Daily speaking practice and natural responses 👉 The goal is to build confidence in speaking step by step. ⸻ For intermediate and advanced learners, I focus on fluency through conversation practice and real-life topics such as daily life, news, and personal interests. JLPT preparation is also available. ⸻ 🧠 About choosing a teacher: To improve speaking skills, it is important to choose a teacher you feel comfortable talking to. Progress comes not only from answering questions, but also from wanting to ask questions and naturally speaking more. ⸻ I enjoy anime, rock music, history, and economics, and I often use these topics in lessons. Rinko-Sensei is a fantastic Japanese teacher! She's very good at identifying my weak points, and often comes prepared with custom made materials going over the specific grammar points I'm struggling with. She knows how to break down complex topics into simple and easy-to-understand lessons! Rinko-Sensei also has a very relaxing presence, so class never feels stressful even when working through a challenging concept! She is the best kind of teacher to learn with and I find my Japanese level noticeably improving after each interaction with her!
