Narae is a great teacher! She is very organized and always comes to class with a structured lesson plan. She uses her own PDF materials and shares a running Google doc that is organized into tabs, which makes reviewing/finding past material quick and easy. She has a great sense of pacing and knows when to move on and when to provide a more detailed explanation. Her calm, patient, and encouraging demeanor makes learning a great experience, and her ability to fluidly switch between three languages is so impressive.

I'm new to italki and trying out different teachers. I really enjoyed this first lesson with Narae! I booked just 30 min to get a feel for her teaching style, but the 30 min felt productive. She messaged me beforehand to ask about my level, goals and expectations so she was ready to meet me at my level and we could get right into studying. I really like that she keeps a spreadsheet of vocab that I ask about, which has the English and Japanese translation as well. I'm excited to book more lessons with Narae! :)

I have been taking lessons with 나래 샘 for some time now and highly recommend her! I am mainly working with her on grammar and writing and she is very clear in her explanations. I would think she'd be great for improving your conversational skills as well. Moreover she is patient, friendly and encouraging, all qualities you would want in a tutor. I also appreciate that she is willing to give you homework :) 감사합니다!

나래 씨, 감사합니다! As always the lesson was well structured. Narae always makes sure I understand what she is saying and she encourages me to speak even if I make mistakes. All my lessons with Narae have been fun and she has effectively managed to create a safe learning environment. At the end of the lesson she gives homework that she corrects before the next lesson. At the beginning of every lesson she asks, if I had any questions regarding the homework or her corrections, so I have the opportunity to learn from my mistakes.
