Hi, I'm Ariel. I teach Spanish on italki and I was born and raised in New York. I'm a native English and spanish speaker. In English I have an American/ New York accent, and my family is Ecuadorian but because I was raised in the states I'd say my spanish is neutral. I'm a PhD student studying paleoanthropolgy and travel to spain each year for my research so I speak spanish often both at home and for work. I've translated academic papers from Spanish to English. Part time I also work at a high school helping to translate for ESL students in all subjects. I hope I can see you soon as my next student.

I tutor every student individually according to their goals and priorities and have a lot of experience helping ESL students from Kindergarden to 12th grade with their homework and classwork. Or it can be more informal if you just want to improve your conversation, we can talk about YOUR favorite topics.

My lessons can be either tutoring style where I help you with assignments that you have from school or they can be informal where we talk casually about specific topics to improve your vocabulary.
