Hello! I’m Damian, a Canadian native English speaker with 14+ years of experience helping students from beginners to advanced levels master language skills. Fluent in Bosnian, Croatian, and Serbian, I specialize in adapting lessons to diverse cultural backgrounds—whether you’re learning for travel, work, or love of literature. Currently teaching in Thailand, I blend my passion for global cultures (and spicy street food!) into my dynamic lessons. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me dancing to Latin music or exploring local markets of this beautiful country. I am a strong believer in making learning English feel natural and not just textbook-perfect experience! :)
教学经验
I am committed to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment that encourages critical thinking and communication with all of my students. I have over 14 years of teaching experience, where I have worked with people from various backgrounds and ages. For over 10 years I educated students inside a classroom at the Burnaby School District. Currently I am employed at a private school in Bangkok, where I am reaching my second year of teaching English. I as well have experience teaching students online, as I do this job currently part time.
我提供的课程和我的教学风格
My English lessons are interactive, student-centered, and designed to build both language competence and confidence. I focus on developing the students' speaking and listening skills through a variety of engaging activities tailored to each student's level and goals. My teaching style is communicative and supportive, encouraging active participation, critical thinking, and real-world language use. I strive to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and motivated to improve. I achieve this matter through constructive feedback that is rooted in positive reinforcement.
