Hello, I’m Wakana — a certified Japanese teacher based in Vienna, originally from Tokyo. I specialize in helping complete beginners build a strong N5 foundation from zero. Many learners feel excited at the beginning but quickly become confused by grammar, particles, and sentence structure. I focus on making Japanese clear and logical from day one, so you don’t feel lost later. I believe the beginning stage is the most important. If your foundation is strong, everything becomes easier. I have taught over 1,500 lessons and supported students from zero level to advanced learners. Through my experience, I have seen that many students struggle not because Japanese is “too difficult,” but because they were not guided step by step in the right order. In my lessons, I use structured materials based on Minna no Nihongo and GENKI, but I organize them in a way that makes grammar connect clearly. We also use shared Google Docs, so you can review vocabulary, corrections, and notes anytime. My goal is not just to finish a textbook it’s to help you truly understand how Japanese works.You won’t leave with “motivation.” You will leave with direction.
