My name is Jamie, I have been studying French and other languages for many years and I love to share my knowledge with my students.
I love to travel and have visited many countries over the years. I have also lived in France and Taiwan where I taught English and French both privately and in schools.
My main interests are language, music, and travel. I am also interested in history, politics, and science. I love to learn, so I am more than happy to discuss any topic that you find interesting.教学经验
I have been teaching French & English online and in person since 2012 and have had students from a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. I have had students of all ages and always strive to make my lessons enjoyable for everyone.
I have a BA in French & Linguistics, an MA in Phonetics & Phonology & am in the final stages of a PhD in Psycholinguistics, so I have a wealth of linguistic knowledge. I hold a Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA).
I am an experienced language learner having studied French, Italian & Mandarin, as well as some Spanish, German, and Korean. I understand the challenges learners face and do my best to help them overcome them.我提供的课程和我的教学风格
My main aim is to tackle the problems that my students find the most challenging. While I use textbooks as support materials, I do not follow them cover-to-cover. Instead, I identify what my students need help with the most and plan lessons accordingly. Each student has a shared notes document with vocabulary from each lesson, suggested reading / listening materials and practice activities.
Everything I plan into a lesson has a purpose and I make sure that my students know why they're learning what they're learning. I am also a strong believer in self-evaluation, so if something is not working I make sure to try something new.我的教学资料
