Emily Reyes

This was my first full class with Emily and I am really enjoying it. She is well prepared with tons of materials, games, activities, etc. The hour flew past! She is also very constructive with feedback and corrections. I never felt stupid for not knowing or forgetting something. I’m so excited to continue learning with her!

We have had yet another productive learning session. Looking forward to the next one. She has some great tools for learning. Emily has been very helpful and it is fun to discuss stories of our travels. I am particularly thankful that she shares her knowledge of Ecuador, a country that I love to visit.

We had a wonderful first lesson. Emily is very kind, patient, and informative. The short word games we played provided greater structure beyond a simple chat. Emily was not strict, nor did she require the use of the word games. They helped, but we also had time to share additional thoughts. Her English is also fabulous JUST in case you hit a dead end.. she might briefly assist you in English just to ensure clarity. Our conversation was about 97% Spanish, so again, no shortage of Spanish practice, but in a pinch, you can ask for help in English. Of course I tried 100% Spanish but it helps to allow a small bit of grace while on my learning journey. I will return for more lessons and can confidently recommend this tutor.

Emily is a wonderfully patient and helpful teacher. She encourages me to practice what I learned each class. She creates the space for me to discuss interesting topics. I have learned so many new words and phrases on many different themes. My Spanish has certainly improved with her help and guidance. Thank you so much, Emily!

Our second conversation went even better than our first. (which was already fabulous) Emily has understood my goals and adapted to my desired areas of study. She is incredibly helpful and informative. I look forward to our next discussion.

I really like how I am being pushed outside my comfort zone. I can understand pretty much everything of what Emily to me in Spanish but I have so much difficulty forming sentences. Emily just guides me through patiently...even if I literally sound like a damaged robot trying to speak Spanish🤣🤣 Gracias por su paciencia, Emily 😊
