Tayvin

I've been learning English with Tayvin for a few months. And since that, my skills much improved. His lessons are fascinating and fit my needs. He is very professional and motivating. I immensely enjoy studying English with Tayvin and highly recommend him as a great tutor for everyone who wants to progress in English.

Tayvin is an amazing teacher. He customizes every class basis my needs, and uses rich resources in class to help me practice critical thinking in English. Thank you so much Tayvin!

老师会很好的引导你去输出，表达；氛围也很轻松友好；课程也有详细的安排，说是会有少量的家庭作业，我很喜欢这一点，这让我觉得学习的内容不止停留在课堂上。He is wonderful teacher，he will leads you to communicate and have detailed arrangements for the course. My favorite point is that will be a small amount of homework, which makes me feel that the course is not limited to the classroom.

Tayvin is a great and genuinely interesting person. He has decent video and audio quality, which is important. That being said, there are a few areas that could be improved. In my opinion, a teacher’s job is to encourage the student to speak—not just to listen. This is especially true for high-level students who likely already get plenty of listening practice from YouTube and other sources. Ideally, the teacher should set their personality aside and focus entirely on the student, chiming in only when necessary. The ideal teacher talking time (TTT) to student talking time (STT) ratio would be around 20/80. However, with Tayvin, it was mostly him talking, and I only got to respond briefly with a few sentences here and there. Of course, I could take the lead and carry the conversation myself, but that’s not my role as a student.

初めてのオンラインクラスで緊張して全く喋れなかったのですが、先生はとてもあたたかく接してくださいました。私はほとんど話せなくても、先生の話を聞いているだけでもとても楽しくて、あっという間の30分でした。もう少し自分も話したいので、次の機会までに少しでもレベルアップしたいです。
