I am Ana, a native Spanish speaker from Mexico currently living in the US. I am a passionate language learner and teacher (I speak Spanish, English, Italian, French, and a bit of German!). I have a Ph.D. in theater and cognitive science, specializing in puppetry. I love arts, culture, and traveling!
¡Hola! Soy Ana. Originalmente soy de la Ciudad de México, pero ahora vivo en Estados Unidos. Me encanta aprender y enseñar idiomas (hablo español, inglés, italiano, francés, y un poco de alemán). As a teacher, I think it is key to set objectives with you so that our time together is targeting your needs. I have theater teaching experience for people of all ages so I can make learning languages fun! I like finding materials that will interest you so you can learn how to talk about the things you like while you learn about the culture, and you pick up the language.

I center my classes on your needs, using pop culture materials (e.g., songs, TV series, movies) and role playing so you can learn more about the culture and get comfortable engaging in the language. I think understanding the patterns and rules of the language is really important, but it is important also to approach this as a game that unlocks further learning. Above all, I want you to feel confident!
