I learnt German for 6 years in school and uni and then lived, studied and worked in Germany for 8 years in Reutlingen and Hamburg.

I used to give private tutoring to friends and family, from August 2023 until July 2025 I worked in a school in Hamburg, where I mainly taught German as a second language. I have a German as a second language (DAZ) qualification. Before that I worked in journalism and marketing.

The most important factors during my lessons are culture and enjoyment. Culture is the key to learning a language and I'm particularly interested in music, film, art, comedy, food and sport in the German-speaking world.
