Hi ! My name is Soltana (but my nickname is Tana), and I'm a veterinarian from Algeria. I'm fluent in French, English, and Maghrebi Arabic, and I have a solid grasp of Modern Standard Arabic. I live in the beautiful capital city of Algiers, and my hobbies include reading, arts and crafts, and music.

As a teacher and community tutor, I get a lot of gratification out of conveying information in accessible ways, and making learning easy and fun for my students! I believe people learn best when they are comfortable and engaged, and will do my very best to make sure my students are at ease and find my lessons interesting. I am very patient, and do not mind meeting you where you are.

I can adapt my lessons to each student's expectations and goals. I can put together and provide teaching material depending on your interests or the specific area you want to work on, such as medical terminology, general grammar, useful phrases to know while travelling... I can also help you practice your speaking skills by having conversations, or help you analyse scientific articles.

Tana is super friendly and energetic. We did some role-playing dialogues together – really effective and engaging. We practiced a few different themes, and it honestly felt like just chatting with a French friend. Great experience, plus I picked up some fun new expressions. The relaxed yet productive atmosphere helped me gain confidence in speaking. Thanks a lot!

My main goal as a learner right now is to get more comfortable with conversational French and improve my ability to formulate my thoughts in real-time. Soltana is so easy to talk to, and she was very encouraging while giving me quick pointers on grammar and vocabulary during our lesson.
