Nyota

If anyone is preparing for TOPIK 2, I cannot recommend Nyota enough! I started classes a few months ago as I needed help to improve my score for the TOPIK reading exam and also to improve my speaking. Nyota is very knowledgeable and explains things in a very easy way to understand. This was really helpful for me as the more advanced questions can be quite tricky. I feel like I have come a long way in just a few months. I think she is an excellent teacher for TOPIK preparation. I even managed to get Level 5 this year! She is very friendly and the classes are really enjoyable. From the first class I really felt at ease and comfortable because I was a bit shy and I wasn’t very confident in speaking. When I am speaking she gives me enough time to think and form my sentences but also knows exactly when to jump in if I need help. No matter what your Korean level is I think Nyota is an exceptional teacher who can help you on your language journey

뇨타 선생님, Nyota, is a true diamond in the rough! I cannot recommend her enough. As an overseas diaspora member, I've appreciated her patient approach. I've improved significant thanks to her expertise as a teacher while I repair my language skills. Nyota is honestly one of the best teachers I've had for learning any language, not just 한국어. She is well organized with plenty of her own material as well as standard curriculum. This keeps her classes fresh. The material is not so boring or straight out of the textbook. Her teaching covers well beyond what is taught in many textbooks. I believe with her skills any level student is in good hands. While group classes have their benefits, learning privately with a teacher like Nyota allows for the space to clarify common mistakes and received deeper teaching of difficult grammar points. She is also flexible with her teaching style and is a great conversation partner as well. If you have the chance to get on her schedule, don't hesitate!

As always Teacher Nyota is so encouraging and fun to talk to! I feel like I'm becoming much more confident even as I try to express more difficult concepts and learn more vocabulary. She corrects my mistakes and helps me fully form thoughts in a way that's very natural and helpful. Thank you so much Teacher Nyota!!!

Nyota was my favourite teacher after trying out almost a dozen when I was starting to learn Korean. She has a natural teaching style that allows for conversations to flow, without explanations feeling distracting or jarring. It was easy to get lots of chatting practice with her, while learning plenty of my weaker points as needed. Would absolutely recommend her to anyone learning Korean and ready to move up to the next level!

Another amazing lesson with Teacher Nyota! This time we had free conversation and then worked on some grammar points I needed practice with; she was very encouraging when I made mistakes and did an amazing job explaining nuances/conceptual differences between English and Korean that are helpful to know. After about 7 weeks of consistent lessons, I'm really noticing an improvement in my comprehension and am so grateful! Thank you Teacher Nyota! :D

As always teacher Nyota is so patient and flexible! I really appreciate her teaching methods and the way she customizes lessons to the vocab and topics I'm interested in learning! :)
