Hello, my name is Josh, and I am a Cambridge CELTA-certified English tutor on italki. I'm originally from Oregon, in the US, and I work as a professional translator in addition to offering English lessons. I have always been passionate about languages and studied German and French as my bachelor's degree, and later translation and interpreting in an EU-accredited master's program in Strasbourg, France. I currently work as a translator at the German public broadcaster Deutsche Welle in addition to teaching English. I really enjoy linguistics and grammar and find it fun getting to impart my language knowledge to others while catering lessons to their personal needs and level.教学经验
I am CELTA-certified, have years of tutoring experience, and have completed a few teaching internships.
I am passionate about languages, grammar, and linguistics myself and enjoy sharing this passion with others. I only teach adults. I have a neutral, easily understood American accent, perfect for learning English. I offer both conversation courses and more structured classes focusing and different elements of grammar, reading comprehension and other elements of English learning.
I make sure my students are speaking most of the time and periodically correct their pronunciation and go over grammar rules. I have a strong background in linguistics and phonetics and try to explain concepts as simply and understandably as possible. I take a lot of notes on the whiteboard while students are speaking, so they they get immediate feedback.我的教学资料
