I was so discouraged because I needed at least 23 in writing and 22 in listening and in the previous test I got only 21 in both these sections. Then I found Ben on Italki and he literally made a miracle! In fact, IN LESS THAN 10 DAYS he was capable to explain me all the tricks that I needed to know in order to crack TOEFL ibt test. In my opinion, his methods are extremely effective. In fact, when he focuses on a certain section, he provides a full and detailed set of instructions on how to proceed, appropriate words to use, tempates and examples. In this way, it becomes incredibly easier to confront each part of TOEFL and to get the desired mark. Eventually I scored 26 in writing and 25 in listening for a total score of 107. I was extremely happy because that attempt was the last one available before the deadline of the University I wanted to apply for. That is why I will always be grateful to Ben!

Today Ben and I focused on TOEFL writing. I have to say it's very hard for me to complete the emails in 7 minutes. But Ben gave me time to finish everything. And then he used more native expressions to correct and beautify which I find very useful. Academic discussion is not as hard for me. Ben showed different versions of his writings. Some of them had a deep description and explanation for his arguments while some even contains attack to the former students. I learned a lot today and I look forward to our next session.

Ben is simply amazing! The best teacher for those who agonize about their TOEFL exams, especially for students who are applying to grad schools (and, therefore, need to get >100 points overall). He is passionate about his job, a very supportive tutor. He is exceptionally patient with students' awkwardness. In my case (and I consider myself to be an anxious person) we worked on my confidence in speaking. I've learned multiple useful tricks that helped me to maintain my speech, regardless of heart attacks I was having during the exam, and finally get 28 points. We started form two lessons per week, and, after a couple of months, we decided to work on my speaking for three weeks intensively: a lesson every weekday. As a result, my confidence just skyrocketed. In addition to speaking, we worked on my academic writing — from scratch — with impressive results. I got accepted to one of the famous NY colleges with a rigorous writing program.

It was amazing practicing with Ben. In these almost 10 days, i have made a big progress in my English especially in TOEFL speaking. I'm now more confident in speaking about different topics even when I'm not familiar with it.The strategies and native collocation for all parts of TOEFL were really useful not only in class but also in my daily practices. I will practice as much as I can in Listen&repear as well as email writing in the following days.

Ben is an excellent teacher. We went through 4 TOEFL writing works today. I learned how to use examples, how to adjust my tones, how much time I should spend in reading the bullet points and what structures and collocations I can have for the essays. It was a nice class and it boosts my confidence and sense of direction in TOEFL writing.
