Lydie's classes have the right balance between speaking practice and grammar: very effective and goal-oriented!

Lydie is a patient and encouraging teacher for a beginner learning Portuguese, giving freedom to converse and also using structured materials.

Lydie is the best foreign language speaker I have ever had. Over the years I have struggled to learn a second language. I grew up in the U.S. when learning a second language was rare and so I had limited classes in school. Lydie has given me the confidence and thus the motivation to learn Portuguese. I know I can do it thanks to her.

Really enjoyed the lesson. Encouraging and learnt lots of new vocabulary and grammar.

A good introduction to pronounciation, use of different words and verbs for formal/informal, and greetings.
