I've lived in the United States for most of my life, so of course, English is my first language. However, since I was a kid, I've always loved foreign languages. In high school I studied French and Spanish, then studied French further for several years in university. I have also been slowly and gradually learning Korean and Chinese on my own. Traveling is my number one favorite thing in the world! So far, I've been to England, Ireland, France, Iceland, Canada, Mexico, and have lived for a short time in both mainland China and in South Korea. My hobbies and interests include world history and cultures, art, cooking, sewing, reading, gardening, YouTube, anime, Asian TV dramas, and K-pop music.教学经验
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Studies. During college I spent a semester in China teaching English at a kindergarten school as a volunteer. I have also taught English classes in South Korea, where my students were mostly elementary and middle school kids, and even some adults. I also work as a nanny, and have cared for children from infancy to early middle school age. I have helped children I've cared for with learning English reading and writing skills, math, social studies, and science, at levels appropriate for their ages. I've absolutely adored all my students and I loved being able to teach them and see them learn and grow while doing so. That's always the best feeling!我提供的课程和我的教学风格
Right from the start, I want to know what your personal language goals are. From there our sessions will be flexibly tailored to help you achieve these goals. I believe that the best and quickest way to learn to communicate well in another language is by actually practicing using that language in very natural, practical, day-to-day ways. Therefore, I like my lessons to have a strong focus on conversation about a variety of topics that you are interested in and might commonly encounter in typical, everyday interactions. I hope you can feel comfortable making mistakes with me and letting me know if you don't understand something, because this is how I will be able to really help you to learn.我的教学资料
