I am an American ESL teacher, tutor, and comic artist. Since 2009 I have taught public speaking and English as a second language in the USA, South Korea, Spain, and Canada. I have been an italki tutor since 2017.
I am a huge movie berd and I really enjoy reading, traveling, and cycling. I try to keep up with current affairs as well (while maintaining my sanity). I love sharing information about my culture and answering questions about language.教学经验
I am a very open and flexible teacher. I give grammar and pronunciation corrections as we go. Like most teachers on here, I focus on teaching through conversation.
I have collected many online materials and resources that I like to use in class, but it's really up to you. If you have stuff you want to focus on, do not hesitate to share it and we can co-create the class together.

Practice makes perfect. I start every class with a loose warm-up. I use a lot of short videos (usually from YouTube) and articles that cover a lot of different topics (usually current events). These are used as a springboard into conversation, vocabulary expansion, and listening practice.我的教学资料
