Credentialed International ESL teacher with over 14 years experience. I am an American ESL teacher, tutor, and comic artist with 14+ years of experience teaching since 2009, including university public speaking and special needs education. I hold a BA in Communications and an MA in International Education, and I’ve lived in the USA, South Korea, Spain, and Canada. My lessons are conversation-based, focused on fluency, confidence, and real-time grammar and pronunciation feedback. I adapt to your goals—test prep, interviews, writing, or general speaking—and tailor each class to your needs. I enjoy discussing movies, culture, science, history, travel, and current events. I value cultural exchange in every lesson. High-quality guided conversational acquisition with corrective feedback. I have collected many online materials and resources that I like to use in class, but it's really up to you. If you have stuff you want to focus on, do not hesitate to share it and we can co-create the class together. I adapt to whatever you want to focus on to achieve your goals. I've helped people test prep, interview prep, work on their writing, speaking, and build their confidence. Practice makes perfect. I start every class with a loose warm-up. I use a lot of short videos (usually from YouTube) and articles that cover a lot of different topics (usually current events). These are used as a springboard into conversation, vocabulary expansion, and listening practice.
