Penny 賀佩

Lessons with Penny have really improved my Chinese and I would recommend her highly to any student, especially those who have a good foundation in the language and would like to become more fluent. She is curious and patient, which means that conversations with her are genuine and I get lots of opportunity to talk. She is also super reliable and has a rich background of experience in both mainland China and Taiwan, which gives her a unique perspective.

Today we had a conversation practice! I have to pause now and then to come up with words and expression to form a sentence, but no pressure, Pei laoshi is always very patient and will help you say what you want to say or say it better in different ways!

Her teaching is highly focused on fostering both your progress and enjoyment in learning Chinese. In each class, she provides a tailored list of new vocabulary from our conversations and textbook exercises, which helps reinforce my learning. Pronunciation is critical in Chinese, and she patiently corrects my accent, greatly improving my ability to communicate effectively as a foreigner in Taipei. After every session, I feel noticeably more confident in my vocabulary and pronunciation.

Our class was very helpful. Penny teaches in a way that is suitable to the student's level, and always is warm and engaging. Highly recommended!

Penny is very nice, energetic and competent, I am sure studying with her will be a pleasure.

Penny 老師 is very organized and provides a spreadsheet of all of the things we have learned. She creates opportunities for students to practice speaking what they are learning and also appropriately helps review past items to make sure they aren't forgotten. She is also very smart, she speaks English, Japanese, and Chinese fluently. This allows her to provide perspectives that most other teachers cant.
