I want to start by emphasizing just how fun and positive classes are with 赵蕾. Some days I'm so tired because of work, but I always come out of class feeling so excited to keep learning! At the beginning of each class 赵蕾 and I have a conversation in Mandarin where she lets me talk about anything I want! Normally, when I first learn a language, I get so worried about making mistakes… but I never felt that way even once in a class with 赵蕾! She’s really good at creating a safe space, which has helped me gain so much confidence in speaking! After our conversation time, she has PowerPoint lessons that we follow where I can learn new words and grammar points. Even though I do a lot of self-study, these PPs really help give structure and direction to the class! Lastly, I really love how we mostly speak mandarin in class even though I’m just a beginner! That’s the best thing any language teacher can do for their student! I would 100% recommend 赵蕾!

Zhao Lei is a very enthusiastic and supportive teacher. She creates lots of conversation and is encouraging. This was the first lesson and I will be planning to do more

We study Chinese characters, new topics and talk about life situations with Zhao Lei, all lessons are just precious.

I've had about ten lessons so far, and am really enjoying them. The exercise book we're working through is good, and she adds lots of custom content as well. We also spend a good fraction of the time just chatting in Chinese so that I can practise everything I'm learning in a more natural context. I strongly recommend her as a teacher.

New topic about cooking today - plenty of new words and phrases, just cannot imagine how to get through it without Zhao Lei! ;-)

Zhao Lei is just an awesome teacher. We use textbook materials, special software for Chinese characters studying and talk on everyday topics to have room for fluency. I just like the lessons very much!
