I have been with Zoe Z. for 10 months and love her classes. I am an older student (~60) learning my first tonal language for a big change in my occupation to include a relocation to China so my stress level is quite high. Zoe is patient and kind. She always comes to class well prepared and remains fully engaged and focused. At the risk of sounding trite, she makes learning fun. She tailors the class to my specific needs and goals which I appreciate as I know that means extra work for her. I am So thankful to the person who recommended her to me and I wholeheartedly recommend her to you.

Zoe is a fun and rewarding teacher to have, our lessons are interactive and enjoyable. She also explains concepts in an easily understandable way which I feel has improved my knowledge already after a few lessons. Homework assigned between classes helps to reinforce my learning and motivates me to keep studying on a day-to-day basis. The lessons are accommodating to my level and she adjusts the study plan according to my needs. I would recommend Zoe to anyone who wants to improve their Mandarin, whether that be character recognition, speaking, listening, grammar or otherwise :)

Zoe is a great teacher because she was able to pick up exactly what level I was at within a single class and then create a whole curriculum fit for me. We go through a lot of textbook materials but also have time to converse in Chinese so I get practice in many forms. I can now speak Chinese to my in-laws and I feel much more confident being able to read in Chinese as well too. I've learned a lot under her, and I would recommend her as a teacher to anyone wanting to learn Chinese.

Zoe老师 has been my favorite teacher on italki so far. Her lessons are fun and engaging, which helps me learn Chinese very quickly! Her feedback is extremely helpful and has allowed me to feel more comfortable speaking, and her homework is specifically catered to the grammar structures I need practice for.

Zoe is a dedicated teacher. Her lessons are carefully planned and she keep us on task and on time. She is patient. She has a sense of humor. She lets me explore the language. Can’t recommend her enough.
