Hi! I’m Andy, a language teacher since 2001 with a passion for turning beginners into confident speakers. Having taught across cultures (and learned other languages myself!), I understand the struggles—and joys—of starting fresh. My superpower? Making you *speak* from Day 1, with patient, conversation-driven lessons tailored to adults.
Why? Because learning should feel like chatting with a friend, not memorizing textbooks. Let’s build your skills naturally—*en español* or *in English*—right from our first class.

I also understand that there are some students that prefer to receive some explanation in their own languages, so that´s why I speak English, Portuguese, Spanish, German and I´m doing my best to improve rapidly my French. After French I will keep learning some other languages to be able to help even more students around the world. Besides focusing on speaking I also prefer teaching in an organized way, that means by levels. So during our first class I check your level and I get informed about what you are looking for. And from there we plan what we´ll learn and how our classes will be organized, so you´ll always know during the months, in what level you are. 我提供的课程和我的教学风格
*ATTENDANCE POLICY*
You may reschedule a class through iTalki with at least 24 hrs in advance, preferably 48hrs so another student can have the chance of requesting a class in that time slot. The following scenarios will lead to iTalki credits being transferred to the teacher:
- No shows
- A request to reschedule the class with less than 24 hrs notice

After six months of studying with Andy I can see how much my English has improved. The classes are extremely organized, the material used is excellent. Andy manages to teach how to write, to speak and to listen are very well. He is punctual, patient and develops the means so we can understand everything during the lesson. Fantastic, it's been a few months since starting with Andy. I can now communicate in a good enough level of spanish to be understood (more or less) and watch some videos on YouTube (which would have been incomprehensible at the start of this year) and get the gist of what is being said. Learning a language is a messy process for your brain but it's something that I've been enjoying - especially with Andy as he has an excellent cadence to his lessons, he knows exactly when to stay and chat and when to move the focus back onto class materials. I can whole-heartedly recommend him to anyone (Spanish or English) no matter your level with the language.
