Hello, I’m Jovan—a linguist and dedicated Macedonian language instructor. Whether you're beginning your journey or refining advanced skills, I provide structured, engaging lessons that make complex grammar intuitive through practical, real-life examples.
My approach integrates my academic background in English and Russian studies with a passion for storytelling, history, and global cultures, ensuring dynamic and relatable learning experiences. Together, we'll make Macedonian a language you feel confident using.

I have been teaching on Italki since September 2017. In June 2019, I earned a degree in English language and literature, and in 2023, I obtained a bachelor's degree in Russian language and literature.
My academic background is focused on language instruction, with coursework dedicated to teaching methodologies, effective strategies, and tailored approaches for various learning scenarios. This comprehensive training equips me to support students in overcoming challenges and achieving their learning goals我提供的课程和我的教学风格
I am very adaptable to the rhythm of learning, and I'm open to all the suggestions by the student on how we should conduct the lessons.
We can follow a teach-book that already has some 20 lessons and exercises (a scanned version of the lessons will be provided before the course takes place).
I believe that learning should be fun, and I can also provide 24/7 support for anything out there and where I can. Until today, I've met several of my students, and even if you don't follow any lesson with me, feel free to contact me if you find yourself in Skopje, I'm always up for coffee and a good chat!

Russian language for foreigners (RKI) - Russkiy Mir Foundation at UKIM - 2022The seminar was organized by the Russian cultural center part of the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, North Macedonia. It was led by the linguist Yulia Aleksandrovna Mareeva, which is known for her work in the field of teaching Russian as a foreign language. This seminar allowed me to gain knowledge of the main differences and problems that Russophones face while learning Macedonian and vice versa, and how to avoid them while teaching the two languages.

学士 - English Language and LiteratureMy Bachelor's Degree consists of a three year study at the University of Rouen, Normandy. The studies were comprised of courses where we were thought both grammar and writing, translation, civilization (history) of English-speaking countries and above all a big accent fell on literature. A big help were also the conversation-comprehension classes where we spend hours talking and discussing on wide topics such as books, movies and articles, which helped us to further improve our skills.

AssistantThe first Winter School of the International Seminar of the Macedonian Language, Literature, and Culture at UKIM, began on the 25th of January and ended on the 5th of February. This year the institution marked 100 years since the birth of one of the most important linguists, historians, and a figure who took part in the codification of the Macedonian language - Blaze Koneski. At the invitation of Professor and Lector Roza Tasevska, I took part in the organization and translation of texts.
