Ciao! 👋 👨🏻🏫 🏳️🌈Hi! I'm Americo, an "Old Soul" Italian Tutor, 41, from Latina (Lazio), now in Lucca, Tuscany. CEDILS- & TEFL-certified, degree in Foreign Languages, teaching since 2017 to students from 37 countries, English & Spanish as bridge languages. Fluent in both, plus basic French.
🎓 9 years of empathetic, practical teaching for all levels (A1–C1).
📚 Each 55-min lesson: 🗣️ Conversation (real-world topics) + 📖 Grammar & Practice (dialogues & exercises).

I reached out to Americo to help me prepare for my next trip to Italy and he is the perfect tutor for this situation. He has worked in the hospitality industry in the past and therefore very helpful - very ideal, when it comes to "role playing" excercises for various conversations I may have during my trip. I feel very at ease and supported during the lessons, which seems to go fast - Americo is great at keeping the conversation going. I have improved so much just in the few lessons I've had with him and feel more confident with my Italian. After my trip, my language learning goal is to move up to a higher level for Italian and I can already tell that Americo will help me get there.

Learning Italian is one of hardest and most challenging thing I have ever done, but thanks to Americo it continues to be an enjoyable and rewarding experience. He is a very patient and encouraging, empathetic and kind teacher. Americo’s professionalism, intuitive nature and attention to detail means that every single lesson is productive and purposeful, but also fun and interesting. He is very good at identifying what I need to work on, when I need to be challenged and when I need help.
I really value and appreciate Americo’s support and encouragement, especially when I am struggling and finding things difficult, he always manages to find a way to turn these moments of frustration into a positive experience.
