Hello, I’m Martin!
I’m a native Czech speaker from Litovel - a quite small town in northeastern part of the Czech Republic. I’m an environmental engineer by education but languages, and Czech especially, have always been my passion.
I’m currently working as a hydrologist (we can also talk about water if you’re interested :D ) in Copenhagen, Denmark. I enjoy spending my free time by running in forest, reading - mostly historical novels, on mats at BJJ gym, or just hanging out with friends.

I’m here to share my love for Czech language with you. I find Czech to be a really beautiful language you can play around with, but at the same time super difficult. So I have a big appreciation for anyone who decides to learn it. It also makes me super happy when someone, who’s not a native Czech speaker, tries to speak Czech with me. And it makes me even more happy when I can help anyone to do so.
Everyone is unique in a way they approach learning languages and everyone starts at a different place. Which might be anything - just a vacation where you want to say and understand some basic phrases, moving to Czech Republic for work, or anything that’s on your mind.我提供的课程和我的教学风格
During the first lesson I would collect some information from you so I know what your learning goals are. Then I’ll tailor the lessons according to your needs. However, to give you a general idea where I put the main focus is on speaking, listening, and reading. For these I’ll be using my own materials I’ve made and still making and with your feedback hope to make them even better. Apart from that I’ll be using news articles, videos, and also short parts from the most iconic Czech pieces - literature, theatre, films, as they are very often referenced in daily conversations.我的教学资料

This was my 10th and last lesson with Martin. He is a wonderful teacher and I would recomend him to anyone who wants to learn or improve their czech. I felt that my skills in czech progressed well during and in-between lessons thanks to Martin. I will gladly come back when I need more help.
