Mayuna

Mayuna-sensei's approach is adaptive and interested. She's familiar with a diverse set of interests, which makes conversation natural and engaging. For newer speakers, Mayuna-sensei knows exactly when to pause and wait for the student to think out their response, and when to jump in and provide a hint. After the student is done speaking, Mayuna-sensei always makes grammatical corrections and suggests better vocabulary, then challenges the student to put these inputs to use right away. Mayuna-sensei speaks clearly and slowly, which makes her easy to understand. Mayuna-sensei is confident with guiding conversations by asking questions, but also gives the student the opportunity to ask questions in return.

Another great lesson, always learning new things, refining past concepts, laughing and strengthening my language learning muscles bit by bit! Even if you can only afford 1 30 minute lesson a week, you can learn Japanese with Mayuna!!

I am provided with lots of time to engage in questions that I have come across in my studies or even questions that I have found in the lesson itself. The amount of clarity gained from Mayuna-sensei through these sessions is undoubtedly invaluable for anyone's study.

It's been a few months since my last lesson with Mayuna san and although I was a bit rusty, we were able to pick back up right where we left off. Her calm, understanding way of teaching really helps me feel excited about learning even if I come in anxious that I am behind on my studies! Mayuna san also does not rush through the material and makes sure I fully understand it before moving on. Can't wait for the next lesson!

I feel very grateful for all the help and guidance I received in my first lesson! I feel confident that I will learn a lot with this teacher! ☺️
