Hi! I’m Yulia, a professional and experienced teacher of Russian as a foreign language, and an author of educational materials. I was born and raised in Russia, but I currently live in the USA. I love traveling and reading books, and I play the guitar, drums, and accordion. These are just a few of my hobbies. I am sure we will find some common interests. I teach Russian to adults and children at all levels, from beginners to advanced learners. I am a participant in professional forums on Russian as a foreign language, including RKI-2022, and have presented at conferences for teachers, constantly developing my professional skills. My focus is on creating a comfortable and supportive learning environment, where students can express themselves freely and build confidence in using Russian. I aim to be both a mentor and a guide, supporting each student throughout their learning journey. I offer 3 types of lessons, depending on your goals, always keeping learning interactive and engaging. I combine lexical and communicative approaches to help students learn words and grammar in context, speak confidently, and use Russian naturally. All lessons are organized on your personal interactive board, so you can track progress and review anytime.

Юлия is a fabulous teacher, I'm so glad I found her! She explains the grammar concepts clearly using well designed slides. Lessons always include practice speaking (both dialogues and me speaking on my own), reading, and writing, as well as help with pronunciation. She includes games and audio clips to mix things up, and, if you would like, she will also assign homework -- I've found it to be just the right amount to practice and solidify what I've learned.

Wonderful teacher! Very kind, energetic and nice to talk to! Keeps the record of your mistakes and then categorises them and corrects them in a file that she sends on the same day. I could not be more pleased and happy to have found her classes.

Yulia is a fantastic teacher. In just a few lessons I’ve progressed so much. She prepares lessons and homework well with many clear examples, and she makes sure that I have lots of opportunities to practice speaking, pronunciation, reading, and writing.
