Ángeles

Ángeles is a great teacher! She is very energetic and encouraging. She is very patient with my sloooooow learning process and pushes me to new levels of improvement each week. She is also very good at pushing me outside of my comfort level (just the right amount) so that I learn more and more. Additionally, she is good at asking questions and carrying the conversation so I can practice without having to do that mental lift as well. She remembers things about my friends and family from week to week and is good about asking about them. My time with her is never a waste, she is great at working in teaching moments into our conversations. I feel like learning with her is a more natural way to learn the language!

It is always fun to chat with Angeles, and she explains to me how to use certain verb tenses or expressions as they come up in conversation. I learn so much with her that I can’t on platforms like Duolingo, and it is great practice because she is so encouraging and I can see she enjoys helping me express myself.

I really enjoy lessons with Ángeles because we have a conversation just as friends would, but she’s also teaching me as we talk. After the lesson, I have learned things and practiced vocabulary and grammar, but I don’t feel like it was work; it’s more like hanging out with someone who I can laugh and have fun with. (I am a B2 level language learner.)

The hour lesson goes by so fast and I always learn so much! Ángeles customizes the conversation to your interests. Some of our recent lessons include sharing travel photos, successful (and unsuccessful) recipes, family traditions and cultural readings. You will love the energy and knowledge she brings to each lesson.

Angeles is a really great teacher, I always look forward to my lessons with her.

Estoy estudiando espanol por otras maneras tambien, pero Angeles me ayuda a practicar lo que he aprendido y usarlo en conversacion. Ella es simpatica y amable, y cada vez aprendo por su apoyo y ayuda con el idioma. Hablamos sobre muchos temas y me alegre cuando puedo encontrar las palabras correctas, pero ella tambien me ayuda a saber como se usa varias palabras cuando no sigue el forma de ingles. Es muy buena maestra! She helps me put everything I'm learning together into conversations that would be useful in real life, and that is invaluable. I feel much more confident in my ability to express myself and even to use what I've learned in a work or school setting sin hacerme el tonto!
