I’ve been taking Vietnamese lessons with Tuân for over a year, completing more than 100 lessons so far. Thanks to his teaching, I’ve gained significant confidence in speaking and listening, so much so that I’ve noticed Vietnamese content popping up in my social media feeds! I've been taking lessons with Tuân for nearly 4 months and my Vietnamese has improved greatly! I started taking lessons to speak with my in laws and can now hold basic conversations. 4 months of lessons have done more for my skills than years of apps, books, and self study. I started taking lessons so that way I can continue the language and culture for my unborn son. Tuân teaching style is engaging and practical, which makes language acquisition fun and purposeful. I used to take lessons once a week, but now take them 3 times a week. I will be very sad to take a short break during my maternity leave. I look forward to resuming lessons until I've mastered fluency! I have even occasionally found myself to be dreaming in Vietnamese and encouraging my friends and (non-Viet) family to start taking italki lessons as well! You can tell that Tuân is passionate about teaching, sharing in cultural exchange, and has genuine interest in your development as a speaker!

Tuan has helped me learn so much Vietnamese from absolutely nothing! These last few months have been not only fun, but the perfect environment to learn. Tuan has a well structured approach to teaching, allowing you to holistically learn the language in all aspects, Including speaking, listening, writing, and conversation practice. His classroom environment is also very relaxed, but also organized, allowing for an entertaining and constructive lesson every single time. He also can teach specific dialects if you are Interested, and is incredibly kind with every request and question you may have. I cannot recommend Tuan enough!!
