I'm a Colombian journalist who fell in love with english at the age of 9 and have loved languages ever since. My hobbies and interests include traveling, going to concerts, blogging about culture, trips and food. I also worked with children as an Au pair in the U.S. for nearly 2 years.
Soy una comunicadora social y periodista nacida en Colombia. Me enamoré del inglés a la edad de 9 años y desde entonces me encantan los idiomas. Mis hobbies e intereses incluyen viajar, ir a conciertos, escribir en mi blog sobre moda, viajes y cultura pop. Fui Au pair en USA por casi 2 años.
Growing up, I always helped my classmates with English tests and later on I started teaching children in my hometown English. I would love to continue sharing my beautiful language with foreigners, as well as helping Spanish speakers with their English, by having casual conversations and learning from them as well!

Desde que era muy joven siempre ayudé a mis compañeros de clase a estudiar inglés, y más adelante, comencé a enseñarle inglés y español a niños. Me gustaría seguir compartiendo ambos idiomas con aquellos que lo necesiten a través de conversaciones casuales en donde aprendamos mutuamente.
My classes will be primarily conversation based. I want you to feel like you're going to the Cafe to meet with an old friend who happens to be a Spanish speaker! I will do my best to adjust to your needs and answer any and all questions that you might have.

Laura is the perfect Spanish teacher. Her lessons are fun and she is very patient and supportive. We mostly speak in Spanish during our lessons, but she speaks perfect English so we can switch over when I need a bit more help understanding something. She has solid academic knowledge of language (both Spanish and English) for when that is necessary. Highly recommended.

Laura is amazing. I really enjoyed talking with Laura about everything. We went through so many different subjects and Laura is so friendly and such a great person to have a conversation with that it was so easy to just keep the conversation flowing. Thank you Laura! As always, I had a wonderful lesson with Laura! I have been working with her for almost six months and I attribute a lot of my progress in learning Spanish on the work we've been doing together. She's extremely patient and supportive, and always comes prepared to our lessons. It's been a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend her as a teacher.
