This is my fourth class with Asami so far and she's amazing! So patient and I already feel a lot more confident speaking and having a conversation. :) I started from knowing almost nothing, and I still don't know much, but improving every time!

Asami-sensei does a fantastic job explaining Japanese without translation! I came to her classes with almost no Japanese background, but she was able to make me understand Japanese using gestures, pictures, props, and lots of different examples. Apart from an odd word here and there, she almost never resorted to English, which I found quite impressive. I asked for "crosstalk lessons" - a style where I don't speak Japanese and instead respond in English. (This is because I am focusing on my listening comprehension and delaying speaking.) This is not the style of lesson Asami-sensei usually teaches, but she did a fantastic job adapting to it. Whether you want to speak English or Japanese, I'm sure her lessons will be great for you.
