Luis is an excellent teacher with the enthusiasm and patience to help me improve. In particular, Luis pushes me through conversation. Every lesson introduces more vocabulary and grammar while showing me how essential speaking and listening are at each step. What a great experience.

Luis is a very helpful and passionate teacher with a clear plan for our classes. He pushes me to use Spanish a lot, I never had an opportunity to speak in Spanish like this before, and I never thought I could say so many things in Spanish. I'm a 63-year-old beginner who learned some basic Spanish more than 40 years ago, and Luis has been a wonderful teacher. He is very comfortable teaching over Zoom and makes good use of the virtual platform's tools. Luis quickly figured out how I learn best and plans lessons around it. We have a steady routine, but each lesson is a little different, so it never turns into rote memorization. He gives homework to help me practice between sessions, and understands that I have a busy life with limited time. He is patient, his explanations are clear, and he takes time to help me work through difficult new material. Some weeks I practice less than others, and he never makes me feel bad about it. I average three lessons a month due to work and travel. But I am making progress, and it's exciting when I can practice with Spanish speakers. I'd recommend Luis to anyone. He would make an excellent instructor for any level.
