This was my first lesson with Nadia (half hour). Nadia is a very nice person and the good thing is that her English is not perfect, and I couldn't use English every time I miss some words, to make her understand me. I had to use French and that is very good way to learn. Coversation with her look like very common life situation and it is the good way to learn through an experience, when support line doesn’t exist, and when we have to rely on our knowledge to understand and to be understood. Of course, I will take more lessons with her.

During this first lesson we had general conversation and discussed learning goals. Nadia makes good corrections, is adaptive to the student, has very good accent and delivery, and is warm and charming. This is the first lesson I have taken on italki and I can say I am very happy with the experience. I look forward to our next lesson. Thank you Nadia.

Nadia was excellent. The problem was my screen. I have recently had at least 10 lessons on italki using my ipad (large screen, ipad pro) — which is much more convenient for me than is my computer. ALL of those lessons went well — and using my ipad was flawless — great picture and easy accessibility to the righthand column in which I could write notes and send pictures to my teacher. But today was VERY disappointing, in that there was NO righthand column. The picture of me and my teacher was either TINY or overly LARGE. So the classroom experience was very disappointing. After the lesson — I tried to problem solve, but without success. I wanted to “test” use of italki classroom — but could not get early access to test the video picture to come up. I have another lesson in a few days — and wanted to figure out before that how to get my ipad to work as it did wonderfully before today. My concern is that I will face the same useless screen on italki classroom again. Thank you!

Nadia is a great French teacher. She adapts the lesson based on what I want to work on and makes helpful suggestions to correct errors and improve my vocabulary.
