I'm James, a British English teacher specialising in speaking confidence and fluency. I work with learners who understand English but still don't feel natural when they speak. That gap between knowing a language and actually using it is real, and I know it personally: I've studied French, Chinese, Spanish, Persian, and Portuguese. My lessons are built around closing that gap through real conversation, not textbook exercises.
Outside teaching, I play traditional music, go camping, and read a lot. I'm genuinely curious about people and cultures, which means every lesson ends up being an interesting conversation.教学经验
I hold a TEFL certificate and a Business English certification, with two years teaching in China and five years online. My approach focuses on natural phrases and expressions drawn from your own conversation, not grammar rules or drilling.
During every lesson I listen carefully and offer language upgrades in the moment. After each session, I log everything we worked on and build you a personalised Brainscape flashcard deck. I also set a short weekly voice note task and suggest podcasts, videos, or articles you'll actually enjoy. English becomes part of your routine, not something separate from it. 我提供的课程和我的教学风格
If you've studied English for years but still feel stuck when you speak, you're in the right place. In a trial lesson we'll have a real conversation about your life, work, and goals. As we talk, I'll show you exactly how I work. I'll catch the moments where your English sounds flat and offer you the natural version on the spot. By the end, you'll already have two or three phrases you didn't have before. After the lesson you'll get flashcards and a short voice note task, so progress starts immediately.我的教学资料
