Hello Families and Students.
My name is Vanessa. I have been teaching children and adults English since 2018. I am originally from California, in the United States. I have a degree in Culinary Arts and Early Childhood Education. I worked as a chef for nine years and a preschool teacher for three years. In 2018, I obtained my 240-hour TEFL certification. After, I began traveling the world and teaching English online to students worldwide. I have a passion for educating my students in ways that are useful for everyday life, engaging, and fun. Teaching English online has helped me to connect and learn about different cultures from all over the world. I look forward to meeting you.

As a teacher, I believe learning should be fun. This applies to adults and children. When learning is fun and engaging students retain the information better. Classes are personalized for the needs and interests of each student. I use many forms of educational materials. Such as; books, games, video quizzes, and more. This personalized approach entices even the youngest learners.

Cancellation Policy:
If you do not contact me 24 hours before the class takes place I need to mark the class as complete. If you contact me I will be happy to reschedule the class one time.

Preschool TeacherI worked as a preschool teacher with ages 3-4 years old. I developed lesson plans based on the interests of my students. Integrating it into content areas such as; writing, math, language development, and science. This helps me because it taught me how to make each area of my classroom hands-on and fun while still teaching core concepts to my students.

Online English TeacherI taught 30-minute online English classes 3 times a week to children ages 3-to 16 in China. This helps me on Italki because I know how to help build vocabulary for beginner learners. It has helped me to develop my online teaching style and given me further confidence that my teaching is helping my students improve, with just over the short time I have been teaching online. This job has taught me how to teach online and what I need to do to help my students.
