Rocío Amaro

I have recommended Rocío to basically everyone I know who is learning Spanish, whether they want formal lessons or conversation. She is incredibly patient, positive, open-minded, and skilled in instructive education. Rocío clearly understands how each student learns differently and how varied those learning styles are. Since starting lessons with her, I have received mountains of helpful information on subjects that interest me: Mexican culture, vernacular, colloquialisms, idioms, and everything else I've asked about. During my lessons, she seamlessly mixes casual conversation with more structured lessons and customizes them to what vocabulary I've requested for that lesson. She is the only instructor/ tutor I have continued to schedule lessons with and recommend to others because of her attention, kindness, and willingness to meet students where they are in their learning journey. Will continue for the foreseeable future. Highly recommend.

I work with Rocio three times a week. She is an excellent teacher who uses examples, explanations, experience, technology and homework to facilitate progress and success for learning Spanish. She also provides encouragement with her positive energy and attitude. Additionally I appreciate her willingness to answer endless questions. I find her to be very patient and supportive in her explanations. I highly recommend her skills and aptitude for teaching! She is a pleasure to work with and a caring person who wants her students to achieve their language goals.

Spanish lessons with Rocío are a wonderful addition to my own independent learning. She offers helpful suggestions, provides learning material, and is always kind and patient. She also lets me first make and correct my own mistakes before chiming in to correct me which allows me to be aware of my own missteps but also allows the conversation to continue flowing. I read a story to Rocío in Spanish. She understood everything I said, and she also pointed out consistent mispronunciations of initial P and T, and final O. Un ejemplo de las tres letras es "poquito." Recordé la regla del español de la escuela hace muchos años, pero necesito practicar de nuevo.
