我是土生土長的澳門人，大學畢業後在中學當了一年英文老師，存了一年錢就漂洋過海來到了沒親戚沒朋友的美國。現居西雅圖。
Hi! I grew up in Macau. After graduated from university, I worked as an English teacher in Macau and flew all the way to the United States where I had no friends and family.
來美後已取得美國小學教育、特殊教育、初中數學教育以及中文老師的資格證，現在在一家位於大西雅圖的美國雙語公立小學當資源老師。
After I moved to the United States, I got my Washington State teaching certificate, endorsed in World Language (Chinese), and Elementary Education, Special Education, and Middle School Mathematics. Now, I’m working as a Resource Room teacher at a Chinese-English Bilingual School in the Great Seattle Area.教学经验

授課時數超過3800小時（美國公立學校，網課及澳門學校合共）Teaching hours over 3800 (U.S. Public School, online teaching, and Macau Private School.)
授課語言：九成以上以學生的目標語言授課（其他語言作輔助：廣東話，普通話，英文，韓語，身體語言）
With my teaching style, we will spend around 90% of our lesson speaking in your target language. (with planned support including explaining the complex ideas in Cantonese, Mandarin, English, or Korean / body language.)我提供的课程和我的教学风格
課堂採用為你量身訂造的教材作輔助，訓練你如何用學到的知識在現實生活中表達自己。你說話的時間佔一半以上，即便你是初學者，我也能讓你在課堂用目標語言表達自己的想法，比傳統語言課多出五成時間練習。
The course adopts materials that are designed for you. 50% of our lesson, you will learn new knowledge including vocabulary, expressions, and grammar, culture etc. The other 50% I will train you to make your own sentences that can be used to communicate in your daily life by using what you have learned. Even you are a total beginner, I will guide you and let you speak 50% of the time.

Xaveria was the first teacher I tried on this site. 1 year later I’ve made a lot of progress and had a lot of fun along the way. She has the best way of teaching in my opinion by using as much Cantonese (or Mandarin) in the lessons as possible. Encouraging, funny, and puts a lot of passion into her work. 谢谢你黄老师! 😭😭😭

Xaviera continues to find fun topics to talk about. She's very engaged and encourages me to try to pronounce new words. Writing down the phonetics gives me materials to practice during the week. My only regret was not trying italki sooner! Thanks again & see you next time! =D
