Her patience is impeccable. always smiling and always giving constructive criticism in a polite way.

Hikaru sensei was very polite and kind during our lesson. I was pretty nervous about scheduling a lesson because, by nature, I’m a very introverted person, especially with Japanese since I haven’t spoken it much at all. However, she was extremely patient and kind and after just a few minutes of the lesson I hadn’t even noticed it happened, but any anxiety I’d had prior had all but disappeared! If you were planning on scheduling a lesson for yourself, I can’t recommend Hikaru sensei enough. In a short amount of time, she expertly presented her knowledge of Japanese and how to teach it, and was very polite and kind while doing so. Long story short, I enjoyed our short lesson talking to her and studying Japanese, and would wholeheartedly recommend anyone considering doing the same to do it themselves! ありがとうございますひかりせんせい！

Hikaru is so pleasant and helpful. I didn't know what to expect but Hiraku helped me along the way and by the end I felt I learned a few new things. Great first lesson!
